Docs - Selling and customer enquiries
Use a payment link you already send to customers
Optionally send a customer to your existing provider link after checking the offer and destination.
DriftLess can publish a secure HTTPS payment link supplied by the maker. The customer completes payment on the provider’s page. DriftLess does not receive an automatic order status, reserve stock, or manage the provider account.
Choose one customer path
Choose enquiries only, maker-owned payment links, set up later, or not selling online. Set up later saves an unfinished choice; not selling online presents the work without a commerce action. A published page must not show competing customer actions for the same piece.
- A payment link must be a maker-confirmed public HTTPS address with no embedded credentials.
- A product-specific link takes precedence over the store-wide link. These are piece/default links, not separate payment controls for every variant.
- The maker confirms payment and handles fulfilment, delivery, returns, and refund obligations.
- The payment provider handles its payment account, payment and refund processing, records, disputes, chargebacks, and payouts.
- Changing the destination requires confirmation again. An absent, invalid or unconfirmed link must not become a Buy action.
- Selling and payment-link sites remain hosted on DriftLess and are not eligible for static export.
How to use this
- 1Use an existing public payment link from a provider you already use, such as PayPal, Stripe, Inflow, SumUp or Square. Provider setup is not required for an enquiry website.
- 2Copy the public HTTPS link into Selling, never a password, private account page, API key or URL with embedded credentials.
- 3Add the matching product facts, price, availability, delivery, and return terms in DriftLess.
- 4Open the link, check the destination and offer, then give the requested confirmation in Selling. Confirmation is your own attestation, not DriftLess verification of the provider or business.
- 5Publish only after the website and provider page show the same offer and currency.
Keep in mind
- Confirm payment in the provider account before fulfilling an order.
- DriftLess adds no transaction fee. The chosen provider may charge processing or payout fees.
