Let people enquire about your work
Present your work and let customers contact you before agreeing price, timing and payment.
An enquiry website is a complete shop front for a maker who discusses a piece or commission before a sale. The visitor sees the work and writes to your public email. You agree the request, price or deposit, timing, delivery and payment outside DriftLess. You do not need a payment-provider account to use the enquiry path.
Example: agree a custom piece in conversation
A visitor asks about a made-to-order bowl. You discuss size, finish, price and any deposit, then send payment instructions using the method you already use. DriftLess does not create an invoice, collect a deposit, track that order or refund the sale. Include a short How I work explanation only when those facts are already true.
How to use this
- 1Open Selling for the correct project and choose Enquiries only when customers should write to you first.
- 2Save the public email you actually monitor. This is separate from your account sign-in email.
- 3Describe the work and any real commission, lead-time or deposit facts. Do not invent a fixed price for a custom request.
- 4Review the private website and test that its enquiry action opens a message to the exact public email.
- 5Complete applicable publication facts and publish only when the site accurately represents what you can offer.
Keep in mind
- The current Delivery/shop terms form can require a currency before saving. Use the real currency for your quotes; this does not create a payment link or require a fixed price for commission-only work. If a required setting cannot be confirmed, keep the preview private and ask support.
- An enquiry opens the visitor’s email app; it is not a DriftLess inbox, an order or proof that a message was sent. Check the public mailbox yourself.
- An existing payment link is optional. Do not switch an established enquiry site to payment-link selling unless that is the customer action you now want.
