Understand maker ownership and responsibility

Separate what the maker supplies and controls from what DriftLess helps create and operate.

The maker controls supplied photographs, writing, product information, policies, and business decisions. DriftLess organizes those materials into website output and retains project information so the website can be improved. The maker remains responsible for rights, accuracy, customer promises, and legal obligations.

How to use this

  1. 1Use only materials you own or have permission to publish.
  2. 2Confirm every product, price, availability statement, policy, and customer promise.
  3. 3Remove information that is outdated or cannot be supported.
  4. 4Review the Terms for the contractual ownership and license details.

  • DriftLess does not provide legal, tax, or regulatory advice.
  • The self-hosted path can hand the finished static website to a private GitHub repository on an eligible plan.
