Take a published website offline
Remove customer access from My Sites without deleting the private project.
Taking a website offline removes its public DriftLess site while preserving the private project and versions. Use this for a temporary closure, an outdated launch, or a website that should no longer accept visitors.
My Sites, projects and permanent deletion
My Sites focuses on published websites. Account → Projects includes private work as well. Use a project menu to rename or delete a site. Delete site requires the displayed site ID and permanently removes that site and its versions; it is not the reversible Take offline action.
- Keep the private project when you only need a temporary closure.
- Export eligible site files before deleting if you need an external copy. Account-data export is not a website backup.
How to use this
- 1Open My Sites.
- 2Find the published website you want to remove.
- 3Choose Take offline and confirm the website name.
- 4Return to Studio later if you want to revise and republish it.
Keep in mind
- Taking a site offline is different from deleting the project.
- If you have made sales, check your own order records and customer obligations before removing access. Taking offline does not cancel a sale, refund a buyer or cancel your DriftLess subscription.
