Export data, deactivate or delete your account

Choose the right account action and understand what can be reversed before permanently losing work.

Account → Profile offers separate data-download, deactivation and deletion controls. None is the subscription-cancellation control. First handle any DriftLess billing changes in Billing and any maker customer obligations using your own sales records. Decide separately whether a public website should be taken offline.

How to use this

  1. 1Use Download your data and Export in Profile to save the JSON account-data file. Store it privately; it is not a deployable website or a complete restorable project backup.
  2. 2Choose Deactivate only when you want to suspend account access and sign out sessions while retaining the account. Deactivation does not cancel the subscription.
  3. 3For Delete account, read the warning and type the required account email. This schedules deletion with a 30-day cancellation window rather than immediately erasing the account.
  4. 4To reverse scheduled deletion during those 30 days, return to Profile and choose Cancel deletion.
  5. 5Export anything you need before permanent deletion. If deletion cannot complete, contact support; some financial records require a retention decision.

Keep in mind

  • Do not assume every paid-account record disappears automatically on day 30. Necessary financial records can delay or limit permanent deletion.
  • Account export and Self-hosted path are different: the latter sends eligible website files to GitHub and excludes Selling sites. Neither download cancels billing.
  • Delete site in Account → Projects is a separate permanent action for that site and its versions; Take offline preserves the private project.
