Docs - Review and improve
Add photographs and describe each piece
Keep multiple views together, choose the right image role, and understand when saved work reaches the website.
Use real photographs you have the right to publish. A photograph can show a customer piece, a non-selling portfolio piece, your studio or process, a logo, or inspiration only. The role tells DriftLess how the material may be used; uploading does not itself put it on the website.
Example: three photographs, one bowl
A front view, a detail of the glaze and a photograph showing scale can all belong to the same blue bowl. Keep them associated with one piece so they do not become three separate products. A studio portrait belongs to the studio/story role, not to that bowl.
How to use this
- 1During intake, choose A new piece for a different object, or Another view of the existing piece for another angle of the same object.
- 2In Studio, open Tools → Photos & logo, choose the images and their role, confirm rights and save them to the library.
- 3For pieces, save a truthful name or description and the applicable fixed price, range or commission-only choice. A portfolio piece needs a description even when it is not for sale.
- 4Select the saved images for the website, review the update and its maximum cost, and confirm only when the selection and facts are correct.
- 5Review the resulting private pages before publishing. Supported images can also be placed manually through Edit site.
Keep in mind
- Inspiration-only images guide the look and must never be published as your work. Do not approve an image unless you have permission to use it.
- Saved — still needs integration means the image is in the library but not applied to the current website. Used in the current website means it is already part of that version.
- A product photograph is not enough to invent a price, availability or payment action. Add the facts in the appropriate piece and Selling controls.
