Review your first private website

Check whether visitors can understand the work, trust the maker, and know what to do next.

Review the website as a customer would. The first screen should identify the maker and work, real photographs should support the story, and the main action should match the goal you supplied. A polished website still needs correction if it could belong to any maker.

Checklist

  1. 1Check the home page on both computer and phone views.
  2. 2Confirm the name, work, audience, photographs, contact details, and main action are accurate.
  3. 3Open the other pages and check that navigation is clear.
  4. 4Choose Improve site, Change the look, or Edit site for the kind of change you need.

Keep in mind

  • Use Tools → Site details for the saved brief and Tools → Versions for earlier versions.
  • Nothing becomes public while you review or improve the website.
