# DriftLess > DriftLess is a guided no-code website builder for jewelers, ceramicists, woodworkers, textile artists, and other independent makers. A maker can start without an account, card, payment, or technical skills, or continue while signed in. The four core brief parts cover the maker or studio name, what they make, the visitor goal and business path, and a logo or photographs. Five publication-fact groups cover where the maker operates and accepts customers, official identity, public legal contact, privacy practices, and applicable customer terms or responsibilities. Truthful deferred answers allow a private preview, while applicable missing facts block publishing. A generated guest website is available in the same browser for 24 hours. The maker creates a free account within that window to keep the exact result. An unfinished browser-local brief is not a cross-device backup. If claiming fails, keep the result open and contact support before restarting. Manual edits are free: the visual editor changes supported text, photographs, alternative text, sections, and repeatable items beside a private preview. It has no inline AI rewrite. A manual save leaves a private candidate for rebuilding and review in Studio before Publish. Generated changes and any generated rebuild require scope review, a credit quote, and final confirmation; the free save does not include that generated work. Saving answers or media does not apply them to a website version. The Free Style room makes a separate supported style preview without AI work or credits. Review and keep a version deliberately; saving never publishes automatically. Publishing puts the specific reviewed version online at a public DriftLess address. Later website-version changes stay private until the maker publishes the update. Published websites are managed in My Sites and can be taken offline. Private projects remain in Studio. There is no maker custom-domain setup in the current product. Free accounts can create and improve a private website and may buy the smallest credit pack once. Publishing and the advanced self-hosted GitHub export require an active paid Maker or Studio plan. Selling is optional. After seeing the private website, a maker can choose enquiries, add a maker-confirmed public HTTPS payment link they control, postpone selling setup, or show the work without online selling. Enquiries use a monitored public email: the maker agrees the quote, deposit, delivery, and payment arrangement directly, without needing a payment-provider account. An existing link is optional, must contain no embedded login credentials, and does not need to come from a particular provider. Link confirmation is self-attestation, not business or provider verification. A product-specific link overrides the store default. Check Selling's current product availability and customer action separately from the private website version. The maker named on the website is the seller and remains responsible for products, delivery, returns, and refund obligations. For payment-link sales, the maker's provider processes payment and refunds and handles payment records, disputes, chargebacks, identity checks, and payouts under its own terms. DriftLess generates, edits, and hosts the website; it does not take buyer money, refund maker sales, or guarantee delivery. Cancel website creation stops the current work; it does not cancel a subscription or remove a published website. When a version stops before review, use the recovery action and retained draft offered by Studio, checking any credit confirmation shown. Account billing shows DriftLess plan and credit payments, not maker orders. Confirm subscription cancellation through the available billing action or support; scheduled cancellation keeps paid access through the end of the current billing period. Taking a site offline or deactivating an account does not cancel a subscription. Account profile offers a JSON account-data export, not a website backup. Account deletion has a 30-day cancellation window and is distinct from deactivation and irreversible project deletion; follow the displayed billing guidance. Some financial records may need to remain. Eligible static website export is the separate Self-hosted path under Account → Projects. ## Product boundaries - DriftLess does not invent products, prices, stock, availability, policies, testimonials, delivery promises, or studio history. - Making the first version public, or replacing the public version with a later private version, requires the maker to choose Publish. Selling settings have their own product and customer-action state. - DriftLess does not provide an order list, invoice or deposit workflow, native buyer checkout, or payment-account connection. - The normal maker journey does not require code, GitHub, DNS setup, or private AI provider keys. - The optional Self-hosted path sends an eligible paid informational static website without Selling to a private GitHub repository; websites using enquiries or payment links remain hosted on DriftLess for now. - Buyers contact the maker email on the website first for an order, delivery, return, or refund problem and use the provider receipt for a payment dispute. DriftLess support handles platform problems, not maker-sale refunds. - DriftLess may unpublish fraud, impersonation, or illegal content. This hosting action does not cancel payment, issue a refund, or decide a dispute. - DriftLess may reject obviously fictional identity data, but it does not check a company register or perform KYB. ## Key links - https://driftless.chat/ — Product overview - https://driftless.chat/features — Guided workflow, visual editor, publishing, updates, and selling - https://driftless.chat/gallery — Maker website examples - https://driftless.chat/makers — Website guidance for independent makers and craftspeople - https://driftless.chat/prompts — Maker brief starters - https://driftless.chat/pricing — Current plans, credits, and publishing access - https://driftless.chat/docs — Task-based help center - https://driftless.chat/docs/start-here — Starting with DriftLess - https://driftless.chat/docs/start-here/continue-a-draft — Guest claim, resuming, and restarting - https://driftless.chat/docs/authored-results — Reviewing and improving authored results - https://driftless.chat/docs/publishing-ownership — Preview, publishing, and ownership - https://driftless.chat/docs/selling-orders — Selling through enquiries and payment links - https://driftless.chat/docs/accounts-plans — Accounts, plans, credits, and recovery - https://driftless.chat/docs/trust-privacy — Privacy, ownership, and buyer-data boundaries - https://driftless.chat/docs/troubleshooting — Preview and update troubleshooting - https://driftless.chat/docs/authored-results/edit-your-website-without-code — Visual editor guide - https://driftless.chat/docs/authored-results/manage-photos-and-pieces — Saving and applying photographs and pieces - https://driftless.chat/docs/publishing-ownership/preview-before-publishing — Publishing guide - https://driftless.chat/docs/publishing-ownership/self-hosted-path — Advanced GitHub handoff guide - https://driftless.chat/docs/selling-orders/sell-with-secure-payment-links — Payment-link selling setup - https://driftless.chat/docs/selling-orders/sell-through-enquiries — Selling without a payment-provider account - https://driftless.chat/docs/accounts-plans/manage-profile-and-security — Profile, sign-in, and account security - https://driftless.chat/docs/accounts-plans/manage-your-plan-and-billing — Platform billing and cancellation - https://driftless.chat/docs/accounts-plans/export-or-close-your-account — Account export, deactivation, and deletion - https://driftless.chat/faq — Product questions and factual answers - https://driftless.chat/llms-full.txt — Full product reference - https://driftless.chat/sitemap.xml — Public sitemap Support: support@driftless.chat
